The sitcom-style storytelling gives the reader very clear points where the characters have done or said something worthy of a laugh track—which is a style Llfe can appreciate for its drama and kitsch, except She is a very driven and independent, which is certainly highlighted throughout the novel. There’s plenty of humor to be found in these pages, but plenty I personally find upsetting.
