I’ve never been such a wuss with a girl in my life. There are some mix up of emotion between two of them. I just want to go back and reread some passages from this now. If I’m honest I was going to give it two stars up until the epilogue, and then one bit bumped it up half a star or so because Caleb from Leaving Paradise appeared and made good on something he said in the first.
Now I’m not going to indulge in spoilers or any of that crap laving you all need to drop whatever you are doing and go read this book. And now I am going to stop obsessing over that one word and get onto obsessing over the cute mess that is Caleb and Maggie. Open Preview See a Problem?
One being Maggie his neighbor who was forever injured on the night of the accident that changed everything. I am glad I read it first, I know everyone wants me to read the Perfect Chemistry books and believe me I will get to them.
The premise was strong, but fell short in the delivery. One of my favorite characters was the charming, blunt, but very wise Mrs. Caleb’s POV sounded suspiciously feminine and that made his macho persona a bit cheesy. They both were such elekles, likeable characters with electric chemistry together! Shes determined to make a new life for herself.
Caleb is not a nice person for much of this book, even with Maggie. The beginning of Return to Paradise, lewving gets in trouble again.
They try ignoring their passion for each other, but buried feelings resurface. I’m on the edge of my seat eagerly awaiting the sequel because that was a cruel cliffhanger. That’s the best lraving you could come up with Maggie? I’m not a virgin and the slightest touch of a leavinng knee is driving me insane.

It’s one of those books that I sort of liked while I was reading it but, ultimately, it’s forgettable. As a direct result of spending a year in juvie, he was necessarily changed by the experience. With the story alternating from different point of views, you really get inside these characters head and really see them for who they really are.
But enough about that. It made me sad and depressed to know their sweet love story was coming to an end. The ending was clearly crafted to leave room for a sequel, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but not a good thing either.
Caleb royally annoyed me. In an unpleasantly snarky way. This story also touches on the power of forgiveness and learning to trust. I would’ve preferred to just leave it at the first book without the last chapter that lead into a sequel. Maggie Armstrong tried to be strong after Caleb broke her heart and disappeared. And despite being inside his head for most of the book – I simmone didn’t get why he behaved how he did towards Maggie and I started not liking him and then at some point I really stopped caring about him and Maggiewhich was very disappointing as the reason I was so looking forward to this sequel was because of how invested I was in Caleb.
So the story is about this boy, Caleb, who hit his next door neighbor, Maggie, with a car while drunk driving, fled the scene, and went to jail for a year for it.
